Does USCIS work on Saturdays or weekends?

USCIS field offices and Application Support Centers are generally open Monday through Friday and closed on weekends for routine business.

That said, USCIS occasionally holds special Saturday events — most commonly naturalization ceremonies, and sometimes special biometrics or citizenship-related outreach events in specific cities. These are announced individually and aren't part of the regular weekly schedule, so you can't assume your local office will be open on any given Saturday.

What is available on weekends: USCIS's online services, including checking case status, accessing your myUSCIS account, and using this tracker, work 24/7 regardless of office hours. If you need to reach a real person, that has to happen during weekday business hours through the USCIS Contact Center.
