How do I find my USCIS Online Account Number?

Your USCIS Online Account Number is different from your receipt number — it's tied to your personal myUSCIS account rather than to a specific form you filed.

If you already created a myUSCIS account, you can find this number by logging in at my.uscis.gov and checking your account profile page. If USCIS has linked a paper-filed case to your account, the number may also appear on certain notices they've mailed you.

If you haven't created a myUSCIS account yet, you don't need this number to check your case status — the receipt number from your filing notice (the one starting with three letters, like IOE, MSC, or EAC, followed by ten digits) is what you use for that. Creating a myUSCIS account is optional but does let you receive electronic notifications and, for some form types, respond to Requests for Evidence online instead of by mail.

This is general information, not legal advice. For anything specific or unusual about your case, a licensed immigration attorney can advise on your situation directly.
